When I spoke to Jam Jam’s doctor on Saturday, she told me that Jam Jam was not eating and was moody. So we decided, by hook or by crook we will visit her on Sunday morning. When Jam Jam saw us she was all of sudden hyper that the doctor was quite surprised. She told us that with them, Jam Jam was very quiet and passive. I started feeding Jam Jam and the doctor was very pleased to see that Jam Jam was eating. She was convinced that her not eating wasn’t anything medical but rather that Jam Jam was just homesick.
Jam Jam’s blood test came back on early Monday and Doc Melissa was satisfied with the result enough to go ahead with her surgery. Since the doctor advised us against visiting her on Monday afternoon for fear she would get extra excited and hurt herself, I called to find out how my baby was. She told us that there was a slight liver damage which could have caused from the fall or her not eating. However with proper feeding and care, the liver can regenerate itself and the situation can be reversed.
When we arrived to see Jam Jam today, she was banging herself against the cage. She was showing tantrum in what must seemed to her the most terrifying steel buildings she has ever been in. Apparently according to the doctor, she had been doing that since morning. However she calmed down when she saw me and Azwaj and immediately relaxed and lie down. We saw that the doctor had bandaged her leg to make sure it was immobile so one look you think she only had three legs! She also had one arm bandaged so that her drip line would not come off. It was only later that we knew from the doctor that this morning Jam Jam had managed to removed her bandaged causing the doctor to secure her bandage as such. As the doctor had told me that Jam Jam didn’t want to eat this morning, I requested that they bring me a bowl of her food. I started feeding her and was thankful when she started to eat and when I placed the bowl under her chin, she proceeded to eat on her own! Yeay!
Jam Jam was making lots of noises that sounded very much like complaints. We know she is homesick and probably in pain but for now where she is, is the best place for her. She would probably be at UPM for another day or two. In the meantime, we are getting cages and all the stuff she would need upon her discharge.
Get well soon Jam Jam. We love you!!!

Tulah GP.. so poor thing. But actually it looks worse than it is. If Jam Jam was human, she would understand that she's not suppose to move and hence there wouldn't be any need for severe bandaging like that

Hi LJ!
Huhu so kesian seeing her kena bandage like that.. I'm sure she misses her mommy.. It's stressful for cats to be away from their owners and lagi2 dorg tgh in pain, lg they become disoriented n traumatized.. Hope she can go home soon so she won't feel so lonely or hurt herself..
Hope she'll be better soon! <3
